SyMoCADS researcher visit at the lab of Prof. Karagiannidis, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
Sebastian Lotter, SyMoCADS postdoctoral researcher (IDC), was recently invited to visit the lab of Prof. George Kargiannidis at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece. During his visit, Sebastian got the chance to attend the defense of a Master thesis on molecular communication and he delivered a talk entitled „How to engineer communication inside the human body – Basics and recent progress in Synthetic Molecular Communication”, in which he explained conceptual fundamentals of molecular communication. He also presented some testbeds that have recently been developed as part of various IDC collaborations, including one with BVT (Maike Scherer and Lukas Brand, IDC). He also discussed the importance of interdisciplinary research in molecular communication and introduced the RTG 2950 “SyMoCADS: Synthetic Molecular Communication Across Different Scales”. The talk was well-attended and concluded by a lively Q&A session.
