Bayerisches Ärzteblatt Article on Molecular Communications

The IDC research project ERMES (https://www.idc.tf.fau.eu/2024/10/22/eu-funds-work-of-idc-researchers-with-500000-euros/) is featured in the latest issue of the Bayerisches Ärzteblatt – the official journal of the Bavarian Medical Association, reaching physicians and healthcare professionals across Bavaria.

The interdisciplinary and international ERMES project, funded by the European Union, investigates communication between implanted medical devices to enable the development of next-generation healthcare systems. The project officially started on April 1, 2025 (https://www.ermes-project.eu). 

The article highlights the significance and potential of molecular communication research for innovative healthcare applications such as health monitoring and targeted treatment. Being featured in a practitioner-oriented journal like this marks an important step toward translating our research into clinical practice.
